At the beginning of Medal of Honor: Airborne the player begin in C- 47 with comrades preparing to drop to the battle field, player will be jumps out the plane by parachutes down to the ground, in which the beginning of mission were marked, player has a full freely control to select where to land to those predefined drop zones which is marked by a green flare.
Medal of Honor: Airborne player can choose a wide range of allied weapons such as M1 Garand riffle, Springfield M1903A4 sniper riffle, Thompson submachine gun, M1918 Browning Automatic Riffle, M12 Combat Shotgun, M1911 ppistol, Mk 2hand grenade, and German weapons such as the Karabiner 98k, Gewehr 43 sniper riffle, MP40 submachine gun, Sturmgewehr 44 assault riffle, Mauser C96 pistol, Panzerschreck and Stielhandgranate. Medal of Honor: Airborne uses a weapon upgrade system depending on how they were proficient in using of it.
Medal of Honor: Airborne game engine was modified with Unreal 3 game which is specially designed for XBox 360, PS 3 and Direct 9-10 PC's. This game different from previous FPS games in which start point and direction has been laid out already, it was an nonlinear gameplay in which player can begin anywhere in they battle field, accordance to their will where to begin considering where they landed.
